Former student selected for Scotland squad
It’s been a great week for former BASE* student Stuart Hogg from Hawick. Having just signed a three contract with Glasgow Warriors, Stuart has now been selected for the Scotland Squad to play in the RBS 6 Nations Rugby Championship.
Stuart’s former Lecturer at Borders College Richie Gray said: “we are obviously delighted for Stuart who has played consistently well at Glasgow Warriors. When Stuart was on the BASE Rugby course he was one of a number of players who showed great potential. Stuart returned to college last year to chat with our rugby students and we very much look forward to him returning again to talk about his newfound achievements and experience.
The first Scotland game kicks off in February against England and 19 year old Stuart will be hoping to make the team. All of the staff and students at Borders College wish Stuart the very best with his sporting career.
