College congratulate first BASE Rugby student to be capped for Scotland

Liz McIntyre – Principal of Borders College – said a special congratulations to Scotland team player Stuart Hogg, at the Scottish Borders Campus recently. Stuart was in college to meet with Richie Gray his former programme leader and other staff members after his Scotland Debut.

Liz, who was instrumental in setting up the BASE Rugby courses said “we are absolutely thrilled to have one of our BASE Rugby students capped within the first three years of the BASE courses being launched”.

Stuart was presented with a voucher for a Pamper Session in the college salons and lunch at the Restaurant to mark his first cap for Scotland.

As well as being congratulated Stuart was invited to sign the ‘Ball of Fame’ and join other rugby legends Doddy Weir, Gregor Townsend and Chris Paterson on the giant BASE rugby ball.
